Rooibos Tea Latte
Share
This caffeine-free Rooibos Tea Latte is a cozy warm drink perfect for evenings. It's a simple, healthy recipe that begs to be made regularly.
Why we love it:
Rooibos is perhaps the most perfect tea to use for a latte. Rooibos is unique because the longer it brews, the bolder the flavor without any astringent bitter aftertaste. Rooibos also has a myriad of health benefits, especially around beauty and anti-aging (count us in).
What you'll need [Serves 2]:
- 4 Tsp Flawless organic rooibos tisane
- 2/3 cup boiling water
- 2 cups organic milk (any type, though non-dairy milk will not create as much “foam”)
- 2 Tsp raw local honey (use more or less to taste)
- 1/2 Tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Compostable drawstring tea filter
- Sprinkle of ground cinnamon for garnish
Directions:
- Scoop Flawless rooibos tea into tea filter and drawstring to close
- Pour boiling hot water over rooibos tea and let steep 5-7 minutes
- Remove tea bag and stir in honey and vanilla extract
- While tea is steeping, heat milk in a small saucepan on low heat, whisking until hot and frothy (or use a milk frother)
- Divide tea into 2 mugs
- Fill each mug to the top with steamed milk and top with cinnamon.
