We sat down with Sesha to learn more about how she stays balanced, what she loves about New York, and what bad habits we should all stop. Get to know Sesha...

What does your day-in-the-life typically consist of?
It starts usually around 5:30am with a strong cup of All Night Long to prepare me for any number of possible patient scenarios, medical conferences/meetings or teaching sessions I could walk into. Then on most days I try to make it to Pilates, Spin or Barry's before heading home to cook a wonderful meal with the love of my life. And lastly, we unwind with a great show, medical journal or our latest novel and always a cup Beauty Sleep chamomile tisane.

How do you stay balanced with such a hectic schedule?
Two things: time management and a healthy life style. Anyone, no matter your profession or schedule, should manage their time properly however if you don't feel good you'll never be able to get through the things you've planned so well.

Organic or conventional?
When it comes to my teas, 100% organic! If teas aren't organic you're practically drinking those pesticides from the leaves.

What’s your favorite thing about NYC?
Every single day is different and full of infinite possibilities. Whether it is a last time show, dinner, sample sale or outdoor yoga class, you just never know where the city may take you.

What cheers you up?
Hands down...my friends! They are truly all the most amazing people ever and no matter how hard of a day I've had or how extremely fulfilling of a day I've had, the moment I share that with them, they make things even better. They are loyal, sweet, caring and just overall loving people that the mere thought of having that in my life puts a smile on my face.

What good habit should everyone start doing?
Try to be mindful of others and treat them how you would want to be treated or how you would want someone to treat the people you love.

What bad habit should everyone stop doing?
SMOKING! Absolutely nothing good comes from it, not only does it cause numerous health problems but it will age your skin faster than unprotected sun exposure.

What are the basic tenets of good nutrition?
Well balance, moderation and exercise. You shouldn't go from one fad diet to another. You should eat a healthy, balanced diet and allow yourself to cheat here or there so you don't feel like you're always depriving yourself. However, always in moderation even when it comes to healthy snacks. Always remember exercise helps you look and feel good and it also keeps you healthy from the inside out.

Stay tuned for more from this amazing collab!

A Heartwarming Wedding Story from an Island Getaway
A Heartwarming Wedding Story from an Island Getaway

2019 was a big year for me... I got engaged to the love of my life, Matt, and we married at the end of November. It was the most beautiful, special day of our lives, surrounded by the people we love.

In the days after the wedding an article was being shared on Facebook about the significance of our special day. Happily indulging in my wedded bliss, I hadn't been on social media and didn't see the article until my friend sent it to me directly. I was blown away.

The article was written by Ellen Futterman, a woman who happened to be vacationing at the same place and same time that Matt and I were getting married. She beautifully and eloquently captured the spirit of our celebration. It's a special piece that I will cherish forever.
